To be patient is sometimes worth it if you do not want to compromise or the demands are particularly high. It was also the opinion of the authorities of the city of Westerkappeln (North Rhine-Westphalia), who had preferred to wait for the "right" lighting for the renovation of the historic church square, namely, LED high bay lights, which now masterfully puts on the scene this "centerpiece".

The patience of the client was all the more necessary as the wishes were for a specific luminaire design, but also, and in particular for a durable LED technology. Officials had "love at first sight" for the design of Emporium, which at the time, was marketed with conventional equipment.

Hans-Georg Flick, lighting designer, explains: "Emporium has registered at the center of the renovation. No problem for the luminaire manufacturer: led high bay light engineers have designed a specific solution, equipped with the desired digital system. The faceted reflector, installed in the head of the luminaire, perfectly harmonizes the distribution of light and the architectural features of the church square. And thanks to its Multi Lens technology, Emporium is also very flexible.

In the early morning, the brightness of Emporium is reduced by reducing power and saving energy and costs. A real environmental asset for the historic square of the church.

This parvis, paved with red bricks, spanning approximately 5,100 m² is the "centerpiece" of the town. The annual fair and the traditional pumpkin festival are held on this land steeped in history, let us not forget that the house of God was erected in the twelfth century. Hans-Georg Flick: "The lighting of squares and historic buildings is, of course, something quite special. Everything had to harmonize together.

"The luminaries had to emphasize the whole work, but also to highlight different materials: the floor or the sandstone of the church.”
